This rare vintage 1950s electric fan with it's gorgeous chrome cage and riveted bladed has been beautifully upcycled by hand into a stylish desk lamp, complete with a vintage oversized mirrored globe bulb with double helix spiral filament.
 
The old electric fan has been cleaned and polished while retaining some of the patina, before being fitted with an chrome antique style light fitting holding an oversized gunmetal smoke mirrored vintage Edison style globe bulb with a double helix spiral filament producing a lovely warm glow.
 
These vintage Edison style LED bulbs are cooler than the traditional incandescent bulbs as they use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
 
The fan has been completely rewired with a vintage style braided cable and 3 pin plug, and has also been fitted with two vintage style chrome switches to independently control the fan and the light.
All fittings are genuine British parts, all hand-wired to a high, professional standard and are PAT tested.
 
This is an original vintage item so there may be some natural wear and tear which adds to the character of the lamp.
 
The overall height of the lamp is approx 68cm.
