This rare vintage British made 1950s Pifco heat lamp has been given a new lease of life upcycled as a desk/table lamp.

This style of heat lamp were widely used for medicinal purposes during the first half of the 20th century to treat all manner of conditions.

The old heat lamp was in a pretty sad state when we first acquired it, and has since been stripped, the interior of the ribbed aluminium shade has been polished, and the exterior repainted in this vibrant sunshine yellow. We have replaced the original heat bulb holder with a chrome vintage style light fitting along with a vintage Edison style globe bulb with a gorgeous spiral filament giving off a lovely warm glow.

The lamp has an overall height of approximately 43cm, width of 25cm, and length of 25cm.

The vintage Edison style LED bulbs are cooler than the traditional incandescent bulbs as they use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.

The lamp is also fitted with a vintage style brown braided flex cable with an inline switch, and a 3amp British plug. All fittings are genuine British parts, all hand-wired to a high, professional standard and are PAT tested.

This is an original vintage item so there may be some natural wear and tear which adds to the character of the lamp.
